Speedwell Barn, a cosy self catering barn conversion to the rear of Speedwell House dates back to the 1800’s. Today, Speedwell Barn has been transformed into a unique and comfortable self catering accommodation in Castleton. Surrounded by beautiful views, Speedwell Barn is the perfect location to base yourself whilst exploring the Peak District. Speedwell Barn is just a 2-minute walk from the village center and with views of Peveril Castle, Mam Tor, and Lose Hill just outside the front door.   

We have ensured that the design of Speedwell Barn has been sensitive to the original structure. This includes making use of the artifacts found during the actual renovation. 

As well as ensure that the design is sympathetic to Speedwell Barns’s history,  luxurious self-catering experience. This includes many of today’s modern comforts and facilities including HD Catch Up TV, onsite parking, Wi-Fi, dishwasher, a lovely large shower, and all the kitchen facilities you may need.
