Speedwell House is a beautiful property located in the picturesque village of Castleton. Built in the 1800’s, Speedwell House is the perfect self-catering accommodation for a cosy village stay in the stunning Peak District. Owners Hilary and Mark want to make sure that all their guests are well looked after throughout their stay. This includes offering a choice of accommodation for their guests. Guests can either stay in the stunning self-catering Barn or Stable – both of which are dog friendly too. Speedwell Stable was originally the Stable to Speedwell House when accommodation was provided in the 1800’s to travellers across the Peak District. Today, Speedwell Stable has been fully renovated, into cosy, affordable Self Catering Accommodation in Castleton. The Self Catering Stable offers many of today’s modern comforts, such as Wi-Fi, on-demand TV and modern cooking appliances, whilst still retaining a lot of the building original features. Speedwell Stable has en-suite facilities, one double bedroom, kitchen with dining area, lounge with double bed settee, external seating area. This is all complete with stunning views of Peveril Castle and Lose Hill and access to our field to walk the dogs as both Speedwell Stable and Speedwell Barn are pet-friendly.
