Treak Cliff Cavern is world famous for its unique deposits of Blue John Stone and is only a twenty-minute walk from us at Speedwell House! It also boasts some of the most beautiful cave formations that can be found in the entire of the UK.

Through Treak Cliff Cavern you can enter the ancient underground right under the peak district and see the veins of Blue John Stone deposits inside the caves as well as fossils in the limestone rock. You can also enter the mysterious Witches Cave where even richer deposits of Blue John stone are found.

After you have explored you can enjoy their gift shop! Dogs are also welcome in the cave and in the gift shop.
