Speedwell Cavern is, unsurprisingly, not far from Speedwell House Bed and Breakfast in Castleton (hence the name), with the entrance to the cavern situated right across the road from us! Speedwell Cavern is one of the main attractions for tourists and locals alike in the Peak District due to the amazing tours of the cave that you can take by boat. This tranquil, yet humbling experience is simply one you cannot miss. Especially if you are staying with us and you are so close.

Speedwell Cavern allows you to explore the inner world of a stunning underground cave system and glide through the workings of a 200-year-old lead mine, amongst other awesome sites within the almost hidden cave.
