Peak Cavern, also known as ‘The Devil’s Arse’, is situated  in Castleton, right across the road from Speedwell House Bed and Breakfast.

It is one of the main attractions for tourists in the Peak District and is it any wonder, considering the amazing history and gems hidden within the cavern. For example, you can see the remains of an ancient village, where a whole community lived and worked making ropes for the local lead mines for more than 400 years.
