Derwent Reservoir
This breathtaking reservoir is truly a must see for all sightseers. It stretches over 175 acres and has some excellent historical ties including during World War II the pilots of the 617 Squadron practising the low-level flights needed for Operation Chastise (commonly known as the “Dam Busters” raids).
The beautiful reservoir is too amazing to describe and really is a must see site for anybody who loves the outdoors. Read more about its interesting history here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derwent_Reservoir_(Derbyshire)#Dambusters
